Corcula island

The island of Korcula is green, hilly and the climate is Mediterranean and sunny. The sun shines 2700 hours here a year. In addition to wine vines and olive groves, the scenic image fascinates through cypresses, fig and almond trees.

Vacation on the island of Korcula

Away from the mainland and yet so close ...
A total of around 28,000 inhabitants live mainly from tourism. From the island of Hvar, Korcula is separated by the 15 km wide Korculanski channel and is well connected to the mainland by car ferries and quick boats. With its walts, the island of Korcula is the greenest island on the Adriatic. Visit Karbuni on the south coast of the island. This town has received its name after the traditional employment of its residents - the production of charcoal (carbon) and earth pech.

Saber dance and battle of the lake ...
The port town of Korcula is located in the western part of the island and forms the historic center of the island. Here you put on when you come with the Rijeka ferry. The neat Venetian backdrop of the old town is created for the saber dance festival and the annual staging of the naval battle at the time of Marco Polos. You shouldn't miss a visit to his alleged father's house in the romantic streets. The pretty view from the tower of the house is definitely worth it.
