The coastal strip of Slovenia presents itself to a much smaller, but not a little less attractive than the Italian and Croatian Adriatic coast. It comprises 45 kilometers and is located south of Trieste.

Finally, one rightly refers to the exceptionally pretty town of Piran, which is one of the most famous tourist centers in the country and itself only counts a good 4000 inhabitants. The nearby karst with its olive groves and vines offers further opportunities for leisure activities. Why not explore one of the underground caves and grottos? Or pay a visit to the Lipica stud in Sezana? This is almost a must for horses! Because in this stud - one of the oldest worldwide - is the origin for the breeding of the royal lipizzaner, also known from the Vienna Riding School. If you don't want to take a ride on the noble horses yourself, you sit down in a carriage and admire the impressive park with the century -old trees. The caves of Postojna (also called Adelsberg grotto) are near the city of Postojna and are the attraction par excellence. It forms the second largest for tourists to form the world's stalactite cavity. You drive into the cave train so that the entire underground world can be admired during the journey, which has created nature for thousands of years.
