Mali Losinj is the most important tourism and economic center on the island of Losinj. With its 9000 inhabitants, the village offers a wide range of accommodations, sports and recreation opportunities. Mali Losinj begins in the 12th century when about 20 families settled in the small bay of St. Martin. The majority of the place is located on the eastern, sunny side of the island. From the southeast of the bay, a road leads to Veli Losinj, which is only four kilometers away. The small town of Veli Losinj is squeezed in a narrow, pointed bay on the island of Losinj.
