Central Bohemia

Central Bohemia ranges from the right bank of the Vltava to the left bank of the Elbe. This landscape can be discovered on foot, by bike, on the horseback, with the boat over the rapids of the Sazava river or with the surfboard on the reservoirs.

is located in the southeast of Prague, in the valley of the Sazava river, which is suitable for boat driving and diving. In many places around the river you will find tight gorges, rugged steep slopes and deep green forests, which shape the unique natural scenery. The forests around Ricany, Blanik, Benesov are most suitable for hiking and mushroom collecting. The Bohemian Karst is a nature reserve in which you can find the largest karst structures in the Czech Republic and the well -known 800 meter long stalactite caves from Koneprusy.

A popular holiday destination and prominent local recreation area of the capital residents is also the Slapy reservoir, just 35 kilometers south of Prague. This lake is one of the four largest artificial inland waters of Moldova and offers plenty of space for swimming, fishing and rowing. A little further away, 80 kilometers south of Prague, the Orlik reservoir, this water, is also a popular place for fishermen and families who are looking for peace and relaxation.
