Island of Sardinia
The second largest Mediterranean island has wonderful bathing beaches and a varied landscape. Wine, olives, artichokes and almonds as well as a rich culture attract sardinia.
Sardinia's natural spectacles ...
The inside of the island forms terrific mountain landscapes, which alternate with green valleys to end up in unique stone formations high in the north. On the bear cap near Palau or at the Capo Testa you can admire these stone sculptures shaped by the wind. Some stalactite caves can also be visited on the east coast. The Grotta di Inspinigoli houses the world's second largest stalactite stone with a height of 38 meters. Sardinia is also the home of thousands of rare animal and plant species.
Emerald -colored water ...
Sardinia has some of the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean with crystal clear water. This also includes the Costa Smeralda between Oblia and Palau. It is known as the playground of the beautiful and rich with Porto Cervo as the center. In the privately owned Costa Smeralda, building sins and mass tourism are deliberately prevented. Beautiful beaches can also be found on the Costa Rei in the east and the Costa Verde in the southwest.
In the restored old town, centuries -old defenders, Spanish merchant palaces and narrow streets lined with oleander. The Church of S. Francesco in the Gothic-Catalan style with a beautiful Romanesque cloister is probably the most beautiful of the whole island.

The church of Grazie, the cathedral as well as the Landkirchen Valverde and Della Solitudine, in which the remains of Grazia Deleddas are located.
A mountain village, the houses of which are adorned with the naive wall paintings (""Murales"") typical of Sardinia.
The oldest church of San Nicola and the San Vincenzo, built in Romanesque-Gothic style, are interesting. The nearby Nuraghen complex Arrubiu is the most impressive and most extensive of the whole island. Everywhere on the island there are relics from the Bronze Age. The best known are the circular (sometimes also cone-shaped) Nuraghi stone dwellings. The largest of these settlements from the Bronze Age is in Nuraxi, about 80 km north of Cagliari.
